Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of progressive production experience
- Experience within PCBA, metal stamping, cable wire casing, plastics moulding, or similar industries is helpful, but not essential, as is any experience in a contract manufacturing environment.
- Preferred experience working with Surface Mount technology (SMT)
- Preferred previous experience with PCB's
- Resourceful and analytical with exceptional communication skills
- Aptitude for problem-solving and decision-making
- Understanding of analytics and performance metrics
Responsibilities:
- Front-line leader carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Plans the flow of materials through the Work Cell according to the production schedule based on the Plex schedule and measured by OTD performance.
- Participate in Daily Management meetings and reports production scheduling to ensure all deadlines are met timely. Properly and timely escalate any schedule-related or personnel issues.
- Interpret specifications, work instructions, and job orders, and assigns and coaches workers toward accomplishment of safety, quality, and productivity targets. Analyzes and resolves work problems.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and ensure all employees engage in safe work practices and always follow prescribed rules and regulations.
- Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; maintaining time and attendance; implementing continuous improvement activities; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Develop individual training plans to meet the needs of the manufacturing operations. Develop cross-training plans for backups in workstations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of discipline, training activities, certifications, and qualifications for all team members within the work cell.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for team members within the work cell, providing constructive feedback on strengths, areas for improvement, and development opportunities. Use performance metrics and objective criteria to assess individual and team performance fairly and consistently.
- Stay current on new implemented systems and technologies through continuous learning to ensure thorough understanding and effective utilization of the latest tools and processes within the work cell.
- Performs other routine duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.
