Qualifications:
  • Associates degree required; relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum two years experience in office management or office support, preferably in an academic setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • ability to use management information systems for various functions, ranging from student information to business processes.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate all general office support for the education sites, including ordering office and instructional supplies, reporting building issues as needed through work orders and helpdesk tickets, vending and copier services.
  • Monitor, analyze and report progress of the education sites’ annual budget to the Director. Track, reconcile and process all purchases made, including credit card charges.
  • Manage, prioritize and assign all education site classrooms, laboratories, and office and conference space. Identify and coordinate external agencies and organizations with requested space as necessary.
  • Manage enrollment in specific programs at the education sites, such as dual credit and College Now.
  • Assist in the provision of student services as needed, including registration services, appointment scheduling, bookstore assistance, student engagement activities and navigating LLCC technology and resources.
  • Act as liaison between Springfield campus bookstore and the education sites to coordinate book buyback, rental returns, GradFest and book pickups.
  • Support the facilitation of Community Education, youth enrichment workshops, and Continuing, Corporate & Professional Education classes at the education sites as needed.
  • Assist in any community outreach initiatives as needed, including participation in community events pertaining to the college.
  • Plan, organize, assign and review the work of the education site student workers. Participate in their selection, training and evaluation.
  • Assist in the college planning and assessment process by developing annual work unit objectives that impact long-range priority goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Lincoln Land Community College is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Jacksonville education center team. Starting salary is likely to be between $44,733 and $51,644 per year with an excellent benefits package. The person hired into this position will be placed within this range based on education, training, experience, and skills.
