Qualifications:

We need you to have:

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred)
  • 2+ years of applicable experience 
  • Solid communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic understanding or use of statistical techniques and methods (DOE, SPC, etc)
  • Basic understanding or use of Lean manufacturing techniques and methods
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and establish priorities

Icing on the cake:

  • MBA or other advanced degree
  • Polymer extrusion and conversion experience 
  • Familiarity with physical and analytical test methods for polymer films and resin
Responsibilities:

As Research Development Engineer for Slider Bags, you will coordinate process development and commercialization activities for Reynolds slider bags under the direction of one or more engineering managers responsible for activities in these areas.  The R&D Engineer will apply statistical analysis techniques to trial data and develop key observations and conclusions. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Supervise and direct process technicians to accomplish tasks as required.
  • Build an effective team and maintain effective workforce through hiring, training, coaching and disciplinary action
  • Troubleshoot mechanical or electrical equipment and/or provides technical leadership to resolve such issues
  • Start up of new or modified conversion and extrusion production equipment
